This AGM wil not be similar to the normal AGM's we've had in the past. The real 2020 AGM has been postponed until 2021.
Although we are not a Charity, we will be following the guidance of the Charity Commission, which has offered up some suggestions as to how AGM's should be held during the Covid crisis, and we are moving forward with one of those suggestions.
Hence, the meeting on Thursday will not conform to the documented AGM rules, with no official Proposals and Responses, but a series of "Recommendations" put forward by the Committee.
There are 3 Recommendations which the Committee have formulated and which the membership can vote on. These are :-
That the current Committee will remain in place until the postponed AGM in October 2021.
That the Treasurer will recommend a subscription rate for the year 2020/2021 of £50 per year.
That the current Competition Rules as written will remain in place until the postponed AGM in October 2021. However, the Committee will adjust the competition arrangements as necessary to meet the current Covid requirements, and will investigate returning them to a form closer to our traditional arrangements.
These are the only items on the agenda, and will hopefully be dealt with quickly.
